PrototypeProject vision
Our digital platform aims to deepen people's connection with nature through plants. We provide resources and tools to create thriving indoor and outdoor spaces while promoting sustainability and social responsibility for a positive impact on the environment and well-being
Research
Findings are that education and resources on the benefits of plants, personalised recommendations and service, high-quality products, and an active community to support and inspire them are crucial for the users. Additionally, it is important to promote sustainable and socially responsible practices to have a positive impact on the environment and society.
Strategy
By identifying the target audience's characteristics, behaviours, and preferences, the platform's features and user interface to meet the users' needs and expectations. The User Persona research process for this project involved interviewing plant enthusiasts, gardeners, and individuals interested in purchasing plants online. The data collected from this research can help to create a user-friendly platform that offers a seamless user experience, resulting in increased sales and customer satisfaction.
People who are interested in sustainable living and environmental issues, as well as those who are looking to improve their physical and mental well-being. Users who are looking for high-quality plants, expert advice, and an active and supportive community, would find this vision appealing. This could include gardening enthusiasts, design-conscious homeowners, and people who are looking for ways to improve the air quality and aesthetic of their homes.
Scope
The website will offer plant care tips and information that will help users to understand the benefits of plant ownership and how to take care of their plants. Also there is a personalised plant recommendations offer and design inspiration to help users create their ideal plant-filled spaces.
Plant Guru will also highlight the environmental and social benefits of plant ownership and support ethical and fair-trade suppliers.
By addressing these user needs in the UX scope for the PlantGuru website, the website can provide a comprehensive and enjoyable user experience that meets the needs of its target audience.
Architecture
In the architecture part of the process for the PlantGuru website, I conduct card sorting to organise the information about plants and related products into logical and intuitive categories. This helps users easily find the information they are looking for and navigate the website effortlessly. There is also a creation of a site map that visually represents the website's structure, including the hierarchy of pages and how they link together. The site map will provide a clear and organised overview of the website's content, making it easy to identify any gaps or areas that need improvement.
The user flows will help the designers understand the user journey and identify any pain points or areas that can be optimised for a better user experience.
Interaction design
By creating a wireframes and prototype, I have been able to test and refine the website's user interface, user experience, and features before development. I also been able to gather valuable feedback from real users, which has helped you make improvements and refinements to the design.
UI
By combining a clean and contemporary design, I created a website that is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and provides a positive user experience. The design should be intuitive, with clear and consistent navigation, and should use imagery and graphics to enhance the user experience and convey the brand's message.
